Frederic Chiu, classical pianist
Frederic Chiu is an internationally recognized classical pianist, having played in halls from Berlin to Tokyo to Lincoln and Kennedy Centers. He's a longtime Yamaha artist who performs a unique combination of iconic favorites and groundbreaking newer music for the piano.
The NY Times: Mr. Chiu offers richly colored, fiery interpretations of both books of Debussy's Images, the rippling figurations articulated with a crystalline touch, as well as performances of "Clair de Lune" and "Rverie." There are echoes of Debussy in "Nostalgia," "Love Song of Kangdin" and the tumultuous "Blue Flower" by Gao Ping, a Chinese composer-pianist based in New Zealand.
