Join the brilliant violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins, ArtsRock's Elliott Forrest and guests for a moving evening revealing what people are doing to help others in our community. Featured will be representatives of Nyack's SOUP ANGELS, TOUCH (Together Our Unity Can Heal), and Rockland Community Against Hunger. We'll also screen the new award-winning short-form documentary FACE TO FACE: FORGOTTEN VOICES HEARD directed by Mr. Forrest and Ms. Hall Tompkins, which had its World Premiere at Carnegie Hall. The evening will include a special musical performance by Ms. Hall-Tompkins. A portion of the proceeds will benefit SOUP ANGELS in Nyack.

Tony Award-winning actor Harvey Fierstein took center stage in Nyack Saturday night to kick off Pride Month. "I didn't want to be in theater, but I wanted to meet Andy Warhol," said the four-time Tony Award winner at Nyack High School during the presentation called "Harvey Fierstein in Conversation with Elliott Forrest." Forrest is the executive artistic director of the Rockland County-based nonprofit, artsrock.org.
